Andrés Rodriguez

Andres Rodriguez was born in Cordoba, Argentine in 1961. He is Civil Engineer, from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina in 1985 and the Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from the Politechical University of Catalonia UPC, Spain, 1997. He begun his carrier as a research assistant at the Facultad de Cs. Exactas F´ısicas y Naturales (FCEFyN), Cordoba in 1981. Later he was an Adjunct Professor since 1990 and a Full Professor since 1997 to the present. He was a researcher at CONICET from 2001 to the present reaching the Indepent category in 2007. During 1991-1997 was Associate Professor of Maritime Hydraulics at the Laboratory of Maritime Engineering LIM Engineering in the UPC, Barcelona, Spain. He is Asociate Researcher of National Water Institute since 1997. He is the director the Hydraulics Laboratory of FCFyN since 1997 to the present. He was President of Directory of Superior Institute of Water Resources ISRH of UNC since its creation in 2002 up to 2007, and Director the SINARAME project of meteorological radar coverage of Argentina since its creation in 2009 up to 2015. Research interests include fluvial hydraulics, experimental and numerical hydrodynamics, maritime and environmental engineering and radar hidro-meteorology. He had recived the national prize of National Academy of Engineering in 2000. He is author or coauthor of over 53 papers, 9 book chapters, 3 books and over 200 conference presentations and one patent.
